people used to call me eldorko in high school

ashley simpson is a dope. everyone is saying how its an unspoken fact that people either lip-sync or boost their voice with a backing track. umm, last time i checked all the bands that are actually real, don't have to do that. whatever people. i get a lot of slack sometimes for the music i buy and listen to, but just think, there are people out there buying ashley simpson cds.

i've come to a revelation that as long as i can think of new and interesting titles for my blog on each post, my life will remain interesting. when the day comes when i can't think of a title, i'm in big trouble.

one more week until the election. hard to believe its already here. personally though, i just want to get it over with and crown our next king. feels like there have been 2 years worth of campaigning.

can you believe going to colorado is still up in the air? and if i go, it will be this wednesday. i still have a ton of bribing and begging to do. getting down to the wire though. i'm just ready to get my groove on again at d&b.

i hate school right now. i'm gone every night of the week with either work, school, or lsat, except for wednesday and saturday nights. sucks so bad.

so my last couple of posts i've said some things to piss off a lot off peeps i'm sure. really don't know what to say about it all. its just how i feel. i'll try to do more to clean up my act but you all know me. i'm the huslin husler e propa. you can't phase this. been slacking in the movie department. working on one now, but not sure when i'll finish it. its another gggrrreat flick. wow, i really don't have much to say today. i'm really getting excited to vote. it will be the forth time in my life i've gotten to do so. in fact, just got the best news all day. a person very close to me that i love dearly is now voting for kerry.
xxxxxxxx@msn.com says:
oh by the way -voting for kerry

Eduardo Chambers says:
oh yeah????? thats awesome. why? what made you change your mind?

xxxxxxxx@msn.com says:
interested in the insurance thing and not too happy with the iraq thing- think i was letting the cowboy and bush in the flight suit get to me
and got some great responses so far from my mass email campaign. along with the person above, i'm 3 for 3.
"I completely agree with you Ethan!"
and for the quote of the day:
you know i'm a bleeding heart liberal through and through, i ain't gots ta read that shit.

its not easy being green

Subject: I'M SICK OF THIS

We need some kind of cheatsheet telling us how to do things when we run across something listed NCIC. I'm getting sick and tired of not knowing what to do or how to send hit confirmations or whatever. When it comes to wanted persons, stolen vehicles, stolen anything, or having to enter it in because it was stolen from our end, I pretty much screw up one way or another every time I have to do something. My notes that I've tried to gather are terrible and all Karl would say is to refer to the manual, which is freaking joke. That's like someone asking what the meaning of life is, and a response is to look it up in the Bible. I'm sorry I'm sounding so jerky right now, but whenever this happens, it makes me look like an idiot in front of County, our officers, BCI, and any other agency involved, which happened to be Spanish Fork today. Also makes UVSC look stupid too and I feel like quitting this job everytime I have to do it. Okay, I'm done venting now. Thank you for listening. I'm gonna go back to my wonderful job where I am priviliged to come to work and look forward to me getting bashed on by almost every employee that works in this department for my political views. And if not bashed on, they do a good job of trying to convince me of how wrong I am.

Subject: My Turn

For those that care so much about my single vote that will not make any difference to anyone in this state, here is why I will vote for John Kerry. I was never at any time for the war in Iraq. I believed it to be wrong and was suspect from the start. I believe that any person who believes in this war and feels that it is justified is not qualified in my eyes to be the next president. Regardless of whether Senator Kerry has flip-flopped, or if President Bush has flip-flopped the same amount of times as the Senator, his current view is that the war was and is wrong. This is the type of attitude I believe America needs with respect on how our country is led. I do not care about tax raises 10 years ago, changing beliefs of Vietnam (were any of you aware or alive at the time to judge the decisions he made with respect to that war? were any of you in the shoes of a Vietnam soldier to understand what he is saying?), ribbons, metals, conversations you think someone had with the Senator which really are just bad chain emails, believing anything Michael Moore or Sean Hannity has to say without figuring stuff out on your own, catchy phrases that appeal to the easily convinced masses, or political science professors who believes a newly elected president will show the world that "bringing" democracy to the Middle East is too big of a task for us (however I was unaware that it was our responsibility to force democracy on the nations of the world in the first place. also, how will Kerry being elected show al-Qaida that we are weak? Kerry has never said he will back down from that fight.). What matters are the differences in current beliefs between the two candidates. This also applies to issues such as gay rights and marriage, abortion, and a number of other current topics. With respect to these, I agree with Senator Kerry and not President Bush. These are my beliefs, since you are all so concerned with them, and will not change because these beliefs have been with me for years. These issues, along with the current Supreme Court, are also the most important that the next president will face. I obviously want the president to make decisions that I agree with. President Bush is someone that I do not agree with. And I understand that most likely, no one in this police department has these same beliefs, however I respect that and realize that there is no point in trying to prove that you are wrong. With that in mind, I hope each one of you will vote on whoever and whatever you feel is right this year. In fact, I believe that Senator Kerry will not win the election this year, yet I must vote the way my morals lead me to. Feel free to have your lively discussions and questions with me if you'd like, however do not try to convert me to a president the majority did not vote for, or a political party who still believes in separate but equal when it comes to certain types of people. Its just not gonna happen.

but my words like silent raindrops fell, and echoed, in the wells of silence Posted by Hello

the man himself Posted by Hello

hello darkness, my old friend, i've come to talk with you again

had a really bad day today. one of the worst ever. don't really feel like getting into it now. maybe another time, most likely never. just sad about some things. family law exam i didn't even finish, my job i hate, my co-workers i hate, the pressures i seem to have day in and day out, horrible headache and feeling about ready to throw up and cry at the same time, arguing to no end, and really great things with the inevitable end, close at hand. happiness at the expense of others. pleasing people at the expense of others. it doesn't make any sense. its just sad and in the end, who really wins? is the prize the girl? the friend? trust? or maybe just a laugh once in a while. must have slipped my mind that i signed up to play the game. of course none of this makes any sense except in my own aching brain. interpret what you will. probably doesn't matter anymore anyways. who am i to care? who are we to care? its just about 7% of our little lives. when was 7% ever worth anything? maybe four years ago, but that was so long ago that we already forgot about that right? i care so little right now, that i wish i just transferred schools and just went away. need a new band hall to bury myself in its shadows. of course i don't mean all of this; my head just hurts.

yesterday was amazing. like christmas in fall. michael moore was more than i could have ever asked for. it was so incredible and we felt like we were part of history in the making both in utah and our school. truly an event in my life that i will never forget. its been a long time since i was so happy. to top it off, what a game, what a series. i take back my comment about not caring about the series this year. i had just assumed the yanks would win again, so why bother. a wise person once wrote, um, well can't remember. it was on ryan's away message last night. speaking of, hi.

the week was good and probably the best this semester. i don't suppose it could have lasted a bit longer.

smells like bacon

Paycheck (2003): i'm not the greatest ben affleck fan and i was hoping this movie would have a minority report feel to it. in the end it just didn't cut it for me. i haven't been able to put my finger on why though. the story was interesting i guess. i'm really particular on movies having to do with time travel and the future, considering my hypothesis on time travel which we all i know i came up with when i was like 14, well before that moron steven hawking did. for example, this movie makes no sense because he sees the future, but its a future that never happens, so what is he seeing? a possibility of the future? well there are an infinite number of possibilities, so why doesn't he see any of those? or why doesn't he see what really will happen in the future? either way, its not worth seeing simply because there are so many other time/future movies that are much better than this (T3, 12 Monkeys, Minority Report).

For a Few Dollars More (1965): was just as good as the first one. eastwood is sooooooooo good playing the anti-hero that we love so much. the casting of the baddies was done so well. they must have found the 10 ugliest guys in mexico at the time. the more of these movies i see, the more i want to own them. so i've upped the "see it" status to "buy it." and i'm not even to the supposed best one yet (started that this morning). the musical score is so good. i'd say better than 95% of movies that come out today. so again, this is eastwood at probably his finest, set with some of the most perfect, beautiful shots i think in all of cinema. buy it.

Dead Poets Society (1989): of course i had already seen this movie, but kim hadn't and wanted to, so i thought i'd let her actually pick the movie for once. this movie is truly great. a little bit of overacting done on the part of the students and robin though. great to see my brutha ethan hawke at so young an age. its for sure worth buying. my biggest complaint is that we have killed this movie to death that it makes it almost unenjoyable to watch. do you realize how many times i've heard people say to seize the freaking day? o craptain my craptain? carpe diem this, you idiots who ruin movies. so if you can look past all that nonsense, its one of the few robin williams movies i believe is worth owning. he, along with jim carrey, are the worst over actors ever. but i forgive them. this time!

so i guess summer officially ended here on sunday. it was cooooold and yesterday was even colder with a nice little blanket of snow on the mountains, and as far as today, its pouring outside. sucks for all the protesters tomorrow for michael moore. fags are gonna get all wet. thinking bout heading to colorado for fall break next week. no promises of course because here is the dealio. its halloween, so i'd want to party it up and just hang with all my friends. but i'd want to see my mom too cuz i think she is moving. and then i have so much homework that i'm gonna have to do during that weekend. jessIE and i were planning on getting it done on the days we have off. so its a tossup. but boy would it be fun! i can just imagine...let me imagine for a sec........yep. as fun as can be.

decided to keep my girly mittens. got another opinion on it and they are A-OK. so i hate my co-workers. during the fire on sunday, the officer went crying like a bitch to my boss about how i took too long to call out the fire department. not sure what he thinks i was doing in the meantime. maybe i thought, "oh wait, i gotta finish this last bit of homework first, then i'll call the fire department to put out this fire." so we go through this big mess and have to pull the tapes of all the conversations and radio entries and log entries and luckily i'm a master at taking down notes of everything that happens, so they had all that. i so thought i was gonna get fired yesterday. turns out it was the city of orem's fault because they took too long with their system or something. well, not "or something." i can tell you the whole story, but it would take too long and its not very interesting. the point is that i hate another cop. hate A1 cuz i've worked here forever and he still doesn't know my name. plus he's a jerk on the radio to me. treats me like i'm 5. hate A2 because he is a jerk in general. he is also a jerk on the radio. treats me like i'm 5. A3 is cool, but can still be a jerk on the radio. treats me like i'm about 7. A4 is the one who tried to convert me to the GOP. and tells me not to be a jerk to people, after they have been jerks to me, simply because they have so much clout. i say F their stinking clout. A5 isn't a jerk, but treats me like i'm 5 on the radio. and A6, who is the funniest of them all, was the dick to complain about the fire incident. i won't get into the part time people, so i'm down to only liking 1 cop that works for us.

good news. just found out i can bring my camera to michael moore. hopefully we get good seats.

e-propa: movies, clothes, politics, music, sports, and life critic extraordinaire

Mystic River (2003): kind of a slow movie. interesting but just way too deep and slow. there are so many questions at the end that never get answered. like most movies that fit this description, the acting is really well done. i can see why peeps liked it, but it just dragged. don't see. i imagine the novel is much better, so pry yourself from the tv/computer and read it instead.

A Fistful of Dollars (1964): a really, really good story. eastwood plays such a witty character and makes the movie so much fun to watch. its clever and inventive and deserves all the praise its ever gotten. i finally have seen a film of this genre to relate to with kill bill 2 now. my only complaint is that the dubbing of some of the actors is freaking awful. you'd hear the stupid kid crying and his mouth wouldn't even be open. however, i'm looking forward to seeing the next one. its definitely worth seeing, and maybe if they sell the three movies on dvd in a cheap $20 pack, i'll buy it too.

Garden State (2004): natalie natalie natalie. she is the greatest actress of our day. she is so freaking perfect in this really weird movie. its very deep and humorous and each scene is so nicely done. there is nothing that really stands out in this movie as being spectacular besides natalie's performance, but its a nice feel good movie that seems pretty dang close to real life stuff. most movies are so far out there, but i really felt connected to this one. my only complaint is with the main character largeman. he was confusing because like the guy in eurotrip, one minute he is crazy shy, anxiety guy, the next he is really out there. and i didn't see the gradual change maybe they were going for. see it and put it on your backup buy list.

ON CLOTHING: i bought these sweet gloves yesterday for when i go snowboarding. they are sooooo dang tight. was gonna go for the jacket, but didn't know if i'd have the moola for that. so these gloves are tight. fully equipped with a goggle wiper, nose wiper, detachable inner glove lining, and patented little plastic connector thing so you don't lose your gloves. well, i get home and as i'm reading about these high tech features i notice who these features were really made for. chicks!! yes, i bought freaking women's gloves. now when i look at them, i see them so differently now. like a bunch of little girly mittens. kim thinks they could pass as guy gloves, so i might keep them. i need a few more opinions then i'll see.

ON POLITICS: did anyone else catch the tony soprano reference made by john kerry in the last debate? thought that was pretty cool. more proof that JK is the man. you really think GW is watching sopranos?

ON MUSIC: good charlotte, the worst band in america, is now coming to play at our school with sum 41. hillary duff is the worst actor and female singer in the biz. although not my pick of music, folk, bluesy type girl singers are very good, even though most are lesbians. however nothing against lesbians. on the more poppy, folksy type, michelle branch is the best singer out of all the brittany's, christina's, and sluts out there. speaking of, lindsay lohan has turned into slut-o-rama in her new Rumor video. check it out on http://launch.yahoo.com. sure, she's got the goods to show off, but she is so freaking fake and she's like 16 for pete's sake. finally, i heard that "girl you look good, won't choo back dat ass up" song. is this song english? someone please translate because it makes no freaking sense.

i wish i had more time/room to write about friday night's dinner i had to serve for law society. it was such a freaking blast. emily and i partnered up on two tables and we rocked the freaking hizzouse. it was so dang fancy with fountains and lights and the whole works. the food looked unbelievable, despite the fact we got jipped and didn't get a single morsel of food. then there was this stalker girl all up on me because i reminded her of her ex-finance. emily was thankfully to the rescue and swatted the little hoe off. it lasted close to 7 hours, but we had a good time. wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. as for today, a fire just broke out on campus not too long ago and i had to send the whole calvary out (5 different trucks). never a dull moment at this place.

ON SPORTS: #9 u of u rawks the shizzay. better enjoy it now cuz 1 loss and they out the dizzay. so nice to see CU winning. does anyone care about mlb playoffs right now besides ny and mass. peeps? the pat's are unstoppable. this year's hockey season will most likely include tom's team. i still don't like basketball. and my new fav sport: ballroom dancing. sounds like i've turned into a fairy, but holy smokes, i almost cried at the dinner on friday watching our school ballroom dance team. words can't describe it, so i won't even try.

4 more years to "spread freedom" and cash in on the world

Bush v. Kerry III (2004): bush gave some stupid answers last night if you ask me. i just don't understand how people can watch them, and not realize that kerry is by far the superior candidate than bush. and what has kerry done to make someone not believe his word and plans? i just don't get it. this debate was one of my favorite because we finally got off of iraq for once and it got so much more on a personal level for me. its nice to see that kerry is not only focused on iraq, but on the U.S. as well, unlike bush who has his focus on one thing. for practically every topic of discussion last night, bush had a plan on it four years ago. today, he has the same plans for the same crap, only the crap now is worse than four years ago. granted our attention shifted to bush's world domination tour, but that doesn't mean we lose sight of you and i, the peeps that should really matter to a president. sadly though, i'm predicting bush to win. too many people are just too comfortable having an 11 year old cowboy as a president. whatever. vote for kerry now, or clinton in four.

Cold Mountain (2003): kinda interesting, kinda boring. tough to say. who would have thought that an aussie and a brit would be staring as southerners in a civil war movie. it just didn't strike me as superior like some other civil war flicks i've seen. only things worth mentioning is that jack white makes a nice little appearance in the movie. and check out his little musical number at the end too! also, despite this being the first natalie portman movie i think is not worth buying, her scenes are by freaking far the greatest in the movie. not simply because she is who she is, but she is just brilliant. i think it could be worth seeing just for those scenes, but the movie ain't so bad and jude, nicole, and renee play parts they were born for. see it.

Eurotrip (2004): unarguably the most crude, vulgar, disgusting, racy, sick movie i've ever seen. puts movies like all the american pies and scary movies to shame. its got so much cussing and nudity that they are lucky to have gotten the R rating that they did. however. despite that most people think i don't know a good movie when i see it, this movie was awesome. i haven't laughed so freaking hard all year. it was soooooo funny that i could care less about any story line. next to napoleon, this is the funniest movie of the year. my only complaint is that they portray the main guy as some predictable ethan type one minute, but the next he is a tom. a little more consistency and more of a gradual shift of change in character would have been nice. he wasn't too believable. but his stiffler-type sidekick was amazing. my hat goes off to this cast of unknowns. kim is gonna kill me for it, but this one is going on my "to buy" list, as well it should go on yours.

we started watching fahrenheit 9/11 in my constitution class. man i forgot how good that movie was. been so crazy busy with so much school. well, not really been busy with it, but just busy in my head. my head is overloaded with lists of things i gotta do. also in my law society class, i accidentally signed up for some gay service project thing this friday. we are required to do it anyways for the class, but i certainly wasn't planning on doing it now. i'm an idiot and thought i was signing the class roll and signed that instead, also meaning, i didn't sign the class roll that day. so now i gotta deal with that too. tomorrow was supposed to be my good day. now i'll be up till 1 in the morning, and have to wake up saturday at like 7 to go take another practice LSAT test.

and i started taking these multi vitamins each morning. don't ask me why. i think i started because they were just sitting there wasting away. first of all, its a freaking horse pill. i swear they shoved so much crap in this thing to make me healthy. most ice cubes are smaller than this. second is that my stomach feels like its about to explode and come out my freaking mouth after each time i take it. of course i eat a little something with it like i'm supposed to. so i don't know what the moral of this story is. take vitamins cuz they are good for you, don't take vitamins cuz they aren't good for you. who the hell knows. heres the point: READ THE FREAKING PAPERS THAT YOU SIGN BECAUSE IT MIGHT NOT BE THE ROLL BUT SOME STUPID SERVICE PROJECT FOR IDIOTS JUST TO GET A LOUSY ONE CREDIT FOR COLLEGE!!

Tuesday, October 12, 2004

fine, i'll give you politics biotch

Gangs of New York (2002): this is a tough one. i really enjoyed the story and acting and sets and everything about this movie. felt a little long though (cuz it was) and might be a little confusing unless you know the historical context of tammany hall and boss tweed. the time frame and setting was just too foreign for me. there aren't many movies out there set in the mid 1800's right smack in the middle of a bustling U.S. city. for that reason i should have probably loved it. the only part that stood out to me was the ending. makes you realize again what i've said before. me getting a 151 on my practice LSAT was important enough for me to put it on my blog, but come 80 years from now, no one will care about my score, my blog, or me. my meaningless life will have come and gone. anyways, because the movie was decent and had a brilliant 20 second ending, its worth seeing. after you see the ending, just sit and think about it for a sec while U2 plays over the credits. also, a reason for seeing it.

Before Sunrise (1995): very well done. i'm all for movies that focus on the individual and not a whole bunch of stupid events going on. be warned though, this movie is nothing but dialogue, with vienna as the backdrop. this won't be for everyone. ethan hawke's character was kinda goofy, which is cool because goofy guys do exist in the world. makes his character so much more real than just being the average guy in a movie. and props to both actors because they go on and on without ever cutting. wonder how much was scripted and how much improv. it really is a touching story though. makes you realize how deep a bond there can be between a guy and girl. i guess life isn't so meaningless after all. haven't decided whether i'm going to buy this or not. all depends on how before sunset turns out. either way, find your special someone (or just pretend), cuddle up, and enjoy.

so my blockbuster movie pass ended yesterday. kinda sad, but kinda relieved. it doesn't mean much that's its over. all it means is that i'm done with this one store. i still have 2 hollywood videos to tackle and another blockbuster with a much larger selection. however, i think i did good. the pass costs me roughly $15.00. each rental here costs $3.79 plus tax, which i think comes out to $4.03. my pass, in exactly 1 month's time, got me 32 dvd rentals. can you believe that??? so, 32 x $4.03 = $128.96 - $15.00 = $113.96 = how much you can rape a video store for. i'll be taking a break between now and my next victim to focus on some movies i need to watch on my computer.

today is going to be so long. i hate the cops because all they do is complain. had an officer in here all morning trying to convince me how michael moore and john kerry are evil and bush and sean hannity are great men and how i should vote for GW. i just smile and nod. don't feel like getting into an argument with a cop. plus, we got this mutual respect for each other, well, mine is fake of course but i still don't want to ruin that. i try and play all sides. for example, just now another officer came in cussing and complaining about how terrible the kerry/moore bashing officer is and how he is worthless. so i just smile, nod, and agree. i could care less about their little pissing contests or this job. i only work 3 days a week now which sucks because that means no money, but i'm all but ready to quit if crap goes down. not that i'm expecting crap to go down. i'm just now in that mind frame of "i don't care about my job anymore" whereas before i was like, "i need this job."

today on my hate list: cops, bush, hannity, kevin from my work, jerky school administration people, the people of Mtv, partisan yellow dog voters, single-issue voters, and supporters of nader. and nader himself actually. granted the system is a flawed two-party system, but you will not be able to change that with your miniscule following. you aren't even on all the state ballots. what is the point? and when you finally die, you think someone is going to step in and take your place? all you do is takes votes from kerry. people don't look back on ross perot and think, "wow, he sure put the independents on the map!" what they see is, "wow, he sure stole votes from bush so clinton could win." same with your sorry ass in '00. green party is great, and probably better than the democrats, but for now, keep it at a more local level. and yes, kerry isn't the best guy in the world, but he is the best hope to bringing this nation back on track. so if you are reading this ralphy nader, put your money to something more useful. remember, i still need a new snowboarding jacket. i know you're good for it.

does puerto rico have the training table?

Bush v. Kerry II (2004): i love seeing bush get so riled up like he does. he can get so angry and rude which it makes it all worth watching. again, i think kerry won. and i tried to not be biased when i made that determination. he was just truly better. strange to say, but he seems more and more like a "people's man" than bush is these days. the way he talked to the audience members and called them by name was great. bush just got too caught up in emotion to remember what his campaign trainers taught him to do. either way, my mom had it right when she said both candidates need to stay on topic and answer the question given. i understand how hard it is to do that because they want to fill in time and want to make sure they get at least one good opponent bashing in each answer and probably a million other factors weigh in when they answer, but i would think a good strategy would be to answer the question and give your stance on an issue, regardless of what it is. that's all the people really want. oh well. 2 down, 1 to go. vote for kerry.

Super Size Me (2004): pretty entertaining and very informative. actually, a little more informative than entertaining, but again, its a documentary. there are many times during the movie where i wondered if he was just exaggerating a bit to prove his point. but then i had to remind myself that i shouldn't assume that because no one has ever done what he has and documented it. for that reason i guess i have no choice but to believe him. its a movie that really makes you think, not just about mcdonalds, but about the american health culture as a whole. i'm glad to say that its been like 6 months since i've eaten at mcdonalds, but sadly i can't say that about wendys...mmm...wendys good. not a movie you'd watch over and over again, but worth seeing once. a nice reality check for all us lazy people. see it.

Shark Tale (2004): so, i guess this is the new thing now. take 6 really really famous actors and throw them in a cartoon. i'm pretty sure that during the previews of the movie i saw three more of these things coming out this year. anyways, i'll see nearly any will smith movie, renee zellweger, jack black, de niro, scorsese, and jack black movie that could ever come out. they are all brilliant in their own little ways. but not a single one of them should ever be in a movie together (robert and martin the exception of course). they are all stupid in this movie because we all have preconceived notions of what to expect. the whole time i'm picturing the fresh prince and bridget jones hooking up. just doesn't work. the movie itself was gay. too many damn references to our little world above water. it just got old seeing Gup and Coral Cola. we get the point already (and thanks faggots sitting next to me for point out every time they did that and laughing hysterically). the musical numbers sucked, the actual plot seemed to fade in and out between Gup and Coral Cola and the stupid Workin at the Carwash song, and i hate angelina jolie and katie current...hahahaha. so freaking funny. because her real name is couric, but they say "current" as in the flow of water...wow. someone got paid a lot of money to think that up. don't see it.

also saw Gangs of New York, but for lack of room, i'll post that tomorrow. i've been finding it harder and harder to write these days. just getting way too busy and i'm barely working anymore, which is where i used to make my updates. anyways, i love lists as you all know. well i've made a small list of things i'm looking forward to. in no particular order here goes:
  1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PC. it'll be out in a few weeks on PS2, but who knows when PC will see it. i spent all weekend on the website. i cannot freaking wait. the maps are gonna be larger than anything i've ever seen. from what i can tell, they will be of L.A., San Fran, and possibly Vegas. my new favorite team: San Fierro Sixty Niners!!
  2. Michael Moore speaking at our school next wednesday. its gonna be a riot!! muahaha. i wouldn't doubt a few riots breaking out here and there. there's gonna be like 50 officers working, and paramedics on standby, and the freaking swat team!! should be great. click the link for the lowdown on our gay little school/city/state/culture/people.
  3. Next semester starting. i hate this semester, but love it too. i have so much fun during the week sometimes, that i hate for each week to roll by so quick, however i love it. spring schedule is already out, so i'm having a ball picking my classes. thus far, ethical issues in crim justice, contract law, legal ethics, two gay 1 credit classes, and stats for behavior sciences. sounds jolly fun.
  4. This coming saturday when i can eat at the training table again. burgers are the bloody best! last week wasn't so hot, so i'm looking forward to making up for it. i don't know what else to say about them. you just have to try it.
  5. The golden globes and oscars for this year. i can't even imagine what would be up for best pic and all, but i can't wait. i'm sure more movies will come out with that best pic quality later this year, but i'm already stoked for it!! january 16th for the globes, february 27th for the academy.

finally, on saturday i took my first ever LSAT practice test. didn't do as good as i wanted to. in fact had to guess on literally half of the games section. ended up getting 11 out of 26 right on that section. my final score was a 151 (scores are between 120 and 180). this not-so-wonderful score is good enough to get me into U of Mississippi, Syracuse, U of Nevada, U of Arkansas, Rutgers, U of Wyoming, and the University of Puerto Rico, just to name a few. needless to say i'd rather die than to go to any one of those schools. luckily i have until june to get better. cheyenne's not that far from denver right?

and so it begins, my ticket outta here

Cheney v. Edwards (2004): very heated if you ask me. first off, both did well, however i think tricky dick jr outdid edwards by just a hair. edwards had some really good points to shut dick up, however he is just not as experienced as dick is in this sort of thing. dick is as smart as can be too. i guess you can't win them all as far as VP's go. i hated joe lieberman too, but loved his running mate. part of me really wishes that kerry had chosen howard dean as his VP. oh well. dick seemed to be the most knowledgeable, however would completely avoid most things having to do with haliburton and his own voting record. edwards should have also stuck with the questions. i don't think he intentionally avoided them like dick, but would just keep going on tangents. and watching edwards at the end was like watching your kid crap his pants during a school play. he's just a big dork, but i think he held his ground and composure amazingly well. dick would have had me crying like a baby. i've always believed that dick's got the brain to win the votes and bush has the, well, haven't figured out what he has. in the end, bush needs dick (no pun intended...honest!) and edwards needs kerry. vote for kerry.

James and the Giant Peach (1996): really, really dumb. was expecting a close repeat of the greatness that is nightmare before christmas, but it fell waaay short. as i said to someone else talking about it, it lost the uniqueness and inventiveness that nightmare had. still same concept yes, but this one was strictly for the kiddies. the songs aren't as good and neither is the stop motion. i could see if this movie had come out first before nightmare because nightmare is by far superior. either way, the kid in the movie sucks bad and the live action stuff is gay. don't see it.

To Kill a Mockingbird (1962): this movie ended up being sooo good. at first you don't really know what the story is about until almost an hour into it, but its cool because its got so many little stories going on here and there and gives a good time to really develop the characters. its probably one of the few "feel good" black and white movies that is good for kids and adults alike. really good messages and all the crap. even a nice touch of suspense. i was literally sitting on the edge of my seat (couch) for the end. could be because i didn't have my contacts in, but lets pretend it was for the movie. and i have to say, the way gregory peck looks like, acted, talked, and argued in court is exactly like our teacher stott harston. to the freaking bone jigga. i might buy this in the future, but for now, see it.

jessIE and i started the LSAT class last night. forked over $795 for the class too (insert knife into heart here). but it will be sooo worth it. its gonna be so freaking fun to learn it all and do the work. not excited that another one of my nights is now taken up AND half of my saturdays now too. i'll be going tuesdays from 6-9 and saturdays to take practice tests from 12 to who knows. either way, it will be fun and exciting because as jessIE said, after so much talk, its finally happening. we even got cool stuff with the class too. i can't wait to walk around in my new Ace shirt, drinking from my new Ace water bottle, that i carry in my new Ace backpack. just kidding. i'm not a retard people.

on a cool note, kim bought a car yesterday. 98 green honda civic 2 door. should be nice. haven't seen it yet, but sounds nice. got a fatty exhaust on it that kim might take off. we'll see though. pics to follow as soon as i get a look at the car. been a pain in the butt only having one coche for the last few days. i had to go back to *gasp* taking the bus yesterday!! brought back a lot of memories.

i'm doing good on my running now. for some reason just had that random run where i was about to have a heart attack. its been pretty smooth each night since though. getting a little nippy out. might have to start wearing a sweater, but still not cold enough to stop each night. of course i'm not seeing any results and prolly never will. i feel like i've been in utah too long. almost like its growing on me. i've actually for the first time got some really good friends now. friends that are actually of equal to my denver peeps. starting to get scared that i'm losing touch big time with colorado, kinda like i did with fresno oh so many years back. i know there are a ton of friends from high school that i'll never see again, what about guys like jer or dustin, or ryan for that matter? what if we never cross paths again? its a sad thing and i don't know what to do. i wouldn't want that to ever happen, but i feel helpless. memories seem wasted if they can't be shared with those from the memories.

check out my winning attitude!!

Frankenstein (1931): kinda dumb, even if it did event the horror genre. i'm not really a fan of horror movies anyways. although i'm always up for some whores in a movie, just not the monster type. they completely over used the lightening and thunder effects, and the movie was really missing something. oh yeah, some freaking music would have been nice instead of just awkward silence throughout it all. i tried to pretend like i'd never seen a scary movie ever in order to see if this would scare me at all. didn't work. might have worked for the 30's, but for the, well, whatever we are in now, as far as a horror movie goes, i'd rather watch pretty woman. now that's a nice horror! don't see.

The Manchurian Candidate (1962): i don't have a lot to say about this movie. i haven't seen the remake, but imagine it will be much the same as this one. its a great story to have come from the 60's, especially pre Kennedy assassination and conspiracy and all that jazz. kinda hard to follow though and understand what is really going on. there are still some things i have questions about, which is unusual for a movie from so long ago. they were usually pretty cut and dry. the thing worth seeing is sinatra being the pimp that he is. otherwise, its just another movie. don't see.

for the month of october, i've bumped up my running to about 1.5 miles each night. man what an extra half mile will do to ya. i nearly died and puked my lungs out last night as i finished. last night was not the best of nights. crappy enough that i spent all freaking day at school and never got a break, but all i ate until about 9 last night were some delicious fruit snacks from jessIE. then, kim's gotta do some work thing in our room all night, so i slept on the couch, or should i say, didn't sleep on the couch. tossed and turned because it was so freaking uncomfortable, kim was making a ton of noise, and the cat was meowing and wouldn't shut its trap. ended up falling asleep for reals sometime after 3. needless to say, i'm pretty grumpy today.

then to top it off, we got some stupid ROTC helicopter flying around and landing on campus and i want freaking ride it. i know that our stupid cops are down there right now waiting their turn to go for a spin. bastards. when is it my turn???

so the month of october is gonna be busy here at school for me. michael moore on the 20th, jimmy eat world on the 27th, and i just found out yesterday that yellowcard is coming with the starting line (in my top 5 of fav bands ever!). hopefully i'll actually go and be able to afford tickets and all. fingers crossed people.

turns out mike might not be doing the lsat or law school this year. with all his crap he's got going on, i don't blame him. kinda sucks though. now i won't have a goal to beat when i take the lsat next year =). just kidding. i know he would have done awesome. the lsat prep class starts this week. not sure if i can do it so soon, but since your fingers are still crossed from above, who knows?

finally on a lighter note, i hate greg sanchez. he is a dirty bastard of a person and i could care less if he died tomorrow. there are myriad reasons why i loath this SOB, but a big reason that i can't stand to even think about is my comic books. i know that sounds gay and all, but i collected for years and years. more than what they were worth, they were my world and i had read every one of them. i could go into more detail about them, like the stories i remember or what my life was like at the time, but all i have to say is that stupid faggot "lost" an entire file cabinet full of them. happened to be the X section of the alphabet. meaning, all my X-titles are now gone. this happened months ago, but i am still more bitter about that than anything else in my life. so children, the moral of today's story is step dads blow and greg can rot in hell for all i care. punk ass queer.

16-41, 28-7, 21-18, 9-17, 31-21

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004): to watch a movie without any prior knowledge of the plot is the best way to watch a movie, even though these days it is impossible to do. this movie would have been a million times better had i known nothing about it. that is not to say that it wasn't spectacular though. it is hard to believe that there are people and editors clever enough to put this movie together. my hats go off to the braves souls who dare to make these movies. very confusing of course, but that's why we buy the movie to watch over a 2nd time to figure it all out again. which means i think its worth buying. not for those who base movies solely on entertainment value. also, kate winslet is hotter here than in titanic. just had to throw that out.

In America (2003): oh man. wow. i'm in awe over this movie. i know that maybe 1 person reading this has even heard of this movie, but you people have to get your heads out of your butts and rent this. i've never seen a finer cast of people. every single actor is so perfect and i haven't a complaint for a single one. the story is sweet and sad and you could tell from the first 10 minutes that the movie is gonna be hard to sit through because it would be such a downer. i've never seen a more real family in my life on the screen. and you know my deal with child actors: i hate about 99% of them. well the girls in this movie put 99% of adult actors to shame. please see this. you don't have to buy this like i plan on doing (however it will be quite the investment on your lives), but you should scrounge the $3.79 and head to your nearest gestapo video store and rent it.

so how bout that 3rd quarter in the purdue/notre dame game? ouch! that must hurt. on a brighter note, utah is freaking ranked #11 now!! pretty crazy times. poor fresno state got knocked, cu is still anybody's guess, byu is more of the same, and csu must really suck to lose to byu.

i've always wanted someone to make either a realistic painting or a photograph from a person's point of view. this sounds really gay, but i was taking a shower yesterday with my head under the water and looking down at the drain. it would be so sweet to have that captured somehow. just moments of the little things in a person's day. and it would have to be done right so that the viewer of the piece would have to focus on the center of the picture in order to get the effect. everything around the edges would be a slight blur. anyways, i could make millions off of this if i had the time. i'll leave it to someone else to fiddle with. so patti, hop to it.

have i mentioned my snowboarding pants rawk the freaking house? so amazing. and on saturday we scoped the mall for more gear. found a perfect columbia jacket that i'll get in a few weeks, a crazy expensive pair of dakine gloves i want, and some dc boots that i prolly won't get this year anyways. but who knows. maybe i will. there are some good holidays coming and i know i've been a good boy!!!

i've come to the conclusion that the training table has the #3 best burgers i've ever eaten. 1 and 2 being respectively in 'n out and jerry's of course. i've had their hawaiian burger and saturday i had some southwest mexi burger smothered in artery clogging green chili or something. whatever it was, it was soooo tasty. already looking forward to next saturday.

i haven't had time to sit and talk about my thoughts on my old job, but i will sometime i promise. also, been thinking about my dad lately. want to jot a few things down about him too. hopefully i'll get to it this week. only 1 more week of my blockbuster movie pass, so that will free up a ton of room on my entries when i cut back on movies. but look out hollywood-terrible-selection-with-everything-still-on-vhs and naked-perverts-running-around-video. i'm coming after you next.

alright stop!.....pajama time

The Forgotten (2004): not a bad movie i guess. they sure wasted no time in getting to the point to begin the story. i'll admit that the storyline was original and there was an okay twist to end the movie (although this "twist" is of very little importance when all is said and done). the scary moments were also very inventive, but used in way much like movies like Scream used. they were cheap shots using loud noises to just scare the crap out of the audience as much as they could. i'd much rather have movies that build the suspense to scare us. i did hope we could learn more about the "bad guys" and not just see some creepy guy walking around. there were a few plot holes, but it did deliver as far as entertainment goes. and for that reason, i guess i'll have to say to see it.

Envy (2004): sadly it was as bad as everyone has said it was. i didn't give my first big laugh until 29 minutes into the movie, and even then it wasn't anything black or stiller said but came from christopher walken. i was so hoping he'd be the saving grace of the movie as he sometimes can be for crappy movies like this, but in the end, he was as bad as the rest. i don't know what happened. i guess i would just blame it on the writers and their terrible script. the story is kinda funny in itself and the camera work i thought was decent. i just looked up the writers and turns out they have next to no experience in writing comedic movies. they just weren't funny enough. and come to find out after watching the whole movie, you never do learn where the shit actually goes!! you would think they'd clear that up. oh well. don't see. you wanna see a good black/stiller movie, go buy cable guy biotch!

Sylvia (2003): lets get one think straight first. i love gwyneth paltrow. she is freaking amazing in every way. in fact, it was sad to turn her away to marry kim. i know her was heart broken, but i knew it was for the best. hey, if it wasn't for me, she wouldn't be rockin out with chris martin. anyways, a whole nutha story for another time. i didn't like this movie though. i didn't like shakespear in love either. just not entertaining enough. don't get me wrong, this movie is great for those who like dramas and love poetry to death. but since there is no one in the world like that, no one will like the movie. since she is in it though, you could just watch the movie and put it on mute the whole time. i might recommend that, but otherwise don't see it.

WOOHOO!! i got new pants! i got new pants! you know it baby! got some sweet snowboarding pants yesterday and they are freakin tight. they are these khaki volcom ones so after i got them we walked around a bit and decided it might be hard to find a matching jacket for it. that'll be on the next paycheck anyways so i don't have to worry too much. hopefully today we'll go and get some gloves for us.

this week was the easiest most laid back week in school i've had this semester. i felt like i did nothing. actually now that i think about it, i really did do nothing, or shall i say, got nothing accomplished. that's what weekends are for right? all in all, it was a good week. next week starts week 7. can you believe it?!? going by kinda quick. the best part is that family law only has 6 more lectures left for the semester. have i mentioned how i hate that class?

i know you love that tint job! just wait till we get new rims!! Posted by Hello
